The Missile Trooper is the anti-armor infantry unit of the Tempest Dynasty in Tempest Rising.
Background
Being well aware of the threat posed by GDF air and armor, the Tempest Dynasty maintains large stocks of MPATS and ensures that a broad swath of their armed services are well trained in their maintenance and usage. While lower tech than the Missile Drone used by GDF Drone Operators, Dynasty Missile Corps have the advantage of being considerably cheaper to train and arm, making them a staple of Dynasty anti-armor and anti-air defenses.
The Dynasty maintains a rigorous fitness regimen for their armed services which allows soldiers like the Missile Trooper to efficiently traverse even the toughest terrain much faster than the GDF's infantry divisions, even while carrying heavy weaponry. Excellent for securing territory ahead of the enemy, recon missions, and avoiding vehicles which are aiming to run them down, these brief sprints are a testament to the indomitable spirit of the Dynasty.[1]
Game unit
The Missile Trooper can target both enemy ground and air targets with his long-ranged missile launcher. The Trooper has the ability to sprint, increasing movement speed by 40% for 7 seconds.
