Doctrine

Doctrines are a gameplay mechanic in Tempest Rising. They are roughly analogous to research and talent trees in other real-time strategy titles.[1]
In the singleplayer campaigns, doctrines are selected between missions; each doctrine costs 1 point and a point is earned after completing a mission. As there are 18 doctrines per faction and 11 campaign missions, it will not be possible to unlock and enable every doctrine in a singleplayer campaign playthrough.[2]
In multiplayer and skrimish, doctrines are purchased with time and credits in-game.[3]
