While the Operator himself is only armed with a pistol, his combat drone fires rockets at both ground and air targets. The drone itself can only attack objects within the player's revealed map vision. It is able to outrange basic anti-ground base defenses.
The combat drone can be controlled by the player via the Operator's remote control ability to scout out a large area, though it is limited in its movements within the radius of its Operator. This makes it useful in scouting on terrain otherwise unreachable by most land units, such as cliffs and rivers.[1] The drone can also reveal higher ground, allowing for artillery attacks on enemy positions.
If the Drone Operator is in a transport or garrison, the combat drone will remain outside of the containing vehicle or building.[2]
The combat drone can be shot down. Should one be destroyed, another combat drone will spawn from the Operator.
