The Vehicle Bay is the Tempest Dynasty's vehicle production building in Tempest Rising.

Background

The pride of the Tempest Dynasty are their factories. Advances in fabrication technology combined with decades of research into process efficiency meet in the Machine Shop, where new tools for peace and war are rapidly assembled and sent out for use. It is in Machine Shops that the Dynasty’s Tempest Rigs are built, making them a near-irreplaceable component of any combat or harvesting operation. As such, the Machine Shop is often the first structure established when the Dynasty enter an area.

Being so critical to Dynasty war efforts, Machine Shops that have been modified to produce experimental Tempest-powered weapons of war like the Voltaic Tank or the mysterious Tempest Sphere are also outfitted with on-site automated missile defenses.

Game structure

The Machine Shop is the first production building that the Dynasty can construct, as it produces the Tempest Rig for Tempest gathering.

The Defender upgrade allows the Machine Shop to produce the Voltaic Tank and the Tempest Sphere, while also gaining an automated missile launcher for defense.

Upgrades

Defender (Missile Launcher) Allows the Machine Shop to produce high-tier vehicles and gains a defensive missile turret. Voltaic Tank Tempest Sphere Requires: Bastion upgrade.

Production

Tier 1

Tempest Rig Harvests Tempest. Heavy vehicle that is immune to the negative effects of Tempest.

Havoc Fast mobile missile platform based on old Dynasty patterns. Great at harassing enemy air units and vehicles. Requires: Dynasty Power Plant.

Pillager Anti-infantry and anti-structure tank. Spawns an Ignitor when it is destroyed. Requires: Dynasty Barracks.

Tier 2

Boar Tank Sturdy main battle tank that is immune to some aspects of Tempest exposure. Requires: Radar Station.

Salvage Van Support and expansion vehicle. Repairs nearby vehicles and structures in a small area. Detects stealth. Can also deploy into a permanent Salvage Center with additional functions. Requires: Radar Station.

Mobile Construction Vehicle Deploys into a Construction Yard. Requires: Bastion upgrade.

Porcupine Burst damage indirect fire which must restock its ammo over time. Requires: Bastion upgrade.

Tier 3

Voltaic Tank Anti-vehicle tank with a long-ranged energy cannon that deals area damage. Attack disables targeted buildings. Requires: Defender upgrade.

Tempest Sphere Crushes anything smaller than itself. Can engage a secondary engine for brief bursts of speed and can roll into enemy structures like a mobile wrecking ball. Requires: Defender upgrade.
