The Construction Yard is the primary construction facility from which buildings and base defenses of the Tempest Dynasty are built.

Background

Due to the immense devastation caused by World War 3 and the destabilization of governments in its aftermath, reconstruction and defense systems needed a massive overhaul and reimagining. Spearheaded by GDF developments, rapid production of consolidated 'construction packages' via Mobile Construction Vehicles has become a well known technology used in civilian and military applications.

The Construction Yard produces tightly packed Drill Pods on the battlefield to deliver rapidly self-deploying structures in a limited geographical area. Drill Pod technology makes interference with Dynasty construction operations difficult. While perhaps less efficient than GDF's airdropped Build Crates, Dynasty structures can be build from heavier, tougher materials, making them harder for enemy forces to tear down or destroy.

Unlike the GDF, the Tempest Dynasty put extensive work into maintaining and improving the buildings they construct, extending older buildings by improving wiring, optimizing assembly lines, fortifying infrastructure, and often adding weapons or secondary facilities during their renovations. Construction Yards are easily modernized by putting in a high capacity power plant and including hardware to allow other nearby buildings to be similarly retrofitted. The resulting "Bastion" Construction Yard becomes a much more important part of a Dynasty base, though its loss is felt all more keenly because of this.[1]

Game structure

The Dynasty Construction Yard manufactures buildings inside itself. Once the construction is completed, the building is instantly deployed via drill pods at the target area.[2]
