Resources are required to produce units and structures, as well as casting abilities and calling in support powers in Tempest Rising.

Each faction utilizes Credits Credits and a unique secondary resource.[1]

Credits

Credits Credits represent the capital the player has and is the currency in purchasing the large majority of units, buildings, and support powers.

The in-game announcer will notify the player if they run out of credits ("Insufficient funds!").

In the campaigns, the player may start with a certain amount of credits depending on the mission.

Earning Credits

  • Credits are primarily earned through harvesting Tempest. Harvester units gather Tempest and deposits their load onto a Refinery, processing it into credits. If Refineries are full, Silos will need to be built in order to hold more credits.
  • Credits can be obtained by picking up crates that contain them. In the campaign, credit crates may spawn in place of a destroyed enemy refinery or silo.
  • Credits can also be earned by selling structures.

Intel

Intel Intel is the secondary resource unique to the Global Defense Forces. Intel is mainly obtained through combat and is used to produce advanced units and structures, as well as performing unit abilities and support powers.

If a non-GDF player captures a GDF building, they will gain access to the Intel resource.[2]
