The following is a list of units, structures, and support powers of the Global Defense Forces in Tempest Rising.

Units

Infantry

		Drone Operator	Highly flexible anti-vehicle and anti-air trooper with spotting capabilities via an aerial combat drone.
		Engineer	High utility noncombatant that can repair allied vehicles, commandeer enemy buildings, and remove land mines.
2		Grenadier	Sturdy frontline combatant who carries Grenades that deal area-affect damage, primarily effective against infantry and structures.
		Riot Trooper	Heavy combat control soldiers with the ability to suppress groups of infantry or individual vehicles.
3		Drone Mauler	Heavy anti-vehicle trooper who can ambush enemy armor and benefits from fighting Marked targets.

Vehicles

1		Harvester	Super-heavy resource gatherer that is immune to the negative effects of Tempest.
		Sentinel	Incredibly mobile scout with an alternate method of supporting the GDF war effort via Intel gathering.
		Hunter Tank	Cheap and sturdy main battle tank; is highly effective against Marked targets.
2		Mobile Construction Vehicle	Heavy vehicle which can deploy into a new Construction Yard.
		Riot Van	Anti-infantry APC which can also stun infantry around itself.
		Comms Rig	High utility support vehicle. While mobile, can lay minefields to support GDF defense and area control. Can also deploy to support allies via Comms coordination.
		Shieldmaiden	Expensive defensive specialist with anti-air laser, missile slowing field, and the ability to deploy temporary repair pods.
3		Scrambler	Expensive hit-and-run disruptor that can help take out base defenses from afar.
		Trebuchet	Heavy artillery; deploys for heavier attacks, increased range, and further boosts against Marked targets.

Aircraft

		Skycrane	Heavy airborne troop transport with the ability to temporarily evade detection.
2		Queller	Potent anti-vehicle and anti-infantry heavy gunship.
3		Condor	Base-breaking bomber that can temporarily evade detection.
		Drone Control Unit	Potent detector and source of Comms which produces a large swarm of automated combat drones effective at confusing enemy targeting systems and taking out targets of opportunity.

2		Sniper	Mobile combat control commando; able to take out high priority targets from an extreme distance.
		Comms Officer	Communications and combat support specialist: provides Comms, Marks enemies on each attack, and can engage at range thanks to his Networked laser rifle.
		Riot Medic	Powerful infantry support: excels at keeping allied soldiers alive and enemy soldiers pinned down with his sonic suppression weapon.
3		Drone Assassin	Army destruction specialist. His Assassin Drones tear vehicles apart, and can be detonated to handle groups of light targets such as infantry.
		Hijacker	Disruption specialist. Debuffs vehicles with Tempest Charge, and can temporarily take them over with her Override ability.

Structures

Buildings

1		Construction Yard	The beating heart of a GDF base: can deploy new structures to the battlefield via Construction Drones.
		Power Plant	Powers other GDF buildings.
		Barracks	Produces infantry and also can garrison infantry inside itself as a defensive measure.
		Refinery	Essential economic structure which converts deposited Tempest into cash.
		Silo	Stores Tempest in excess of the player’s starting reserves.
		Vehicle Bay	Produces vehicles.
		Air Control Tower	Produces air units and can house 2 on its built-in Air Pads. Produces Comms in a moderate area.
		Air Pad	Houses, restocks, and repairs 1 GDF air unit.
2		Satellite Uplink	Upgradable building which unlocks many important GDF technologies and units.
		Repair Bay	Quickly repairs GDF vehicles.
3		Data Core	GDF high tech structure. Unlocks late game units and support powers. Has Drone Pod and Tempest Pod add-ons.
		Advanced Power Plant	Expensive power plant which produces far more power than a conventional Power Plant, but costs Intel to deploy.

Defenses

		Concrete Gate	Allows allied units to pass through.
		Gatling Turret	Anti-air and anti-infantry turret with a high rate of fire.
2		Laser Turret	Anti-air and anti-vehicle turret with a moderate rate of fire.
		Grenade Turret	Area-of-effect all-purpose defensive turret.
3		Tempest Artillery	Long ranged defense which generates Tempest Charge on attacked vehicles.
		Haywire Turret	Advanced defensive turret that fires a large number of Marking missiles at enemy vehicles and air units.

Support powers

2		Support Beacon	Calls in a temporary beacon which provides construction space, Comms for nearby friendly units, and Marks enemies.
		Riot Drop	Calls in a Globetrotter transport which drops a Riot Van that transports several Field Scouts, Drone Operators, and Riot Troopers.
		Spy Drones	Deploys Spy Drones onto the battlefield.
3		Communications Jammer	Disables enemy vehicles from firing their weapons for a short duration.
		Tempest Air Strike	Calls in an airstrike on the selected location, dropping a Tempest Air Burst that deals high damage to the target if the planes are not shot down.
