The Tempest War[1] was a global conflict waged between the Global Defense Forces (GDF) and the Tempest Dynasty. Beginning in 1997, the conflict was fuelled over control of the eponymous Tempest plant.
The war saw the emergence of the Veti, which prompted the GDF to divert all resources from Tempest research towards ending the conflict against the Dynasty as soon as possible.[2]
