3D Realms is a video game publishing company and the publisher of Tempest Rising. The company was founded in August 1994 as a brand of Apogee Software, which itself was founded in 1987 by Scott Miller and headquartered in Garland, Texas. In 2014, the company relocated to Aalborg, Denmark[1] after it was acquired by the same holding company as Slipgate Ironworks.[2]
3D Realms is known for creating the Duke Nukem series, and producing and licensing titles such as Max Payne and Prey.
