Comms Rig
The Comms Rig is a GDF combat support vehicle in Tempest Rising.
Background
The Comms Rig is a vital lynchpin for GDF combat operations. These unarmed vehicles are packed with communications equipment, rapidly relaying battlefield data to SyComm and GDF theatre commands while simultaneously rebroadcasting battle direction to communications gear on nearby vehicles and personnel, greatly increasing troop coordination, preparedness, and response times. On today's battlefields, knowledge is power, and the Comms Rig is GDF's ace-in-the-hole for informational warfare.[1]
Game unit
The Comms Rig has two modes that it can toggle between. In Intel mode, the Rig is mobile and is capable of both planting anti-tank mines and detecting stealth objects.
In Comms mode, the rig becomes immobile and friendly units within the Rig's radius will receive the 
Comms effect, which grants bonus attack and movement speed.

Place Mines Places invisible land mines at the target location. Mines deal damage to infantry and vehicles, can can be disarmed by units like Engineers. Costs:
